Joe Peters and Michael Kelsey are two Indiana-based musicians whose creative partnership has produced a rich tapestry of collaborative music projects. Their work blends storytelling, folk, rock, and Americana influences, often featuring a wide circle of regional talent. Joe Peters is a singer-songwriter with a background in environmental education and global travel, which deeply influences his lyrics. He’s known for his reflective, narrative-driven songwriting. Michael Kelsey is a celebrated guitarist and producer, known for his dynamic live performances and his 2004 win at Guitar Center’s Guitarmageddon competition.

Linda LeMar and LuAnn Lamie will be presenting “Work in Clay and Paper” at Artists’ Own Gallery from July 18-September 13. Their show will have an opening reception on July 18 from 6-9 p.m. in coordination with the Gallery Walk Downtown. This is a unique show using paper pulp and clay to create sculptural works.
Linda LeMar’s work is garden inspired wall work using paper clay, stains, acrylic andgold leaf. Vibrant combinations of color, and texture, lead to endless possibilities. This work is inspired by bags, pouches and purses that people use to carry precious treasures. Come see this exciting show.

Join us at the Frankfort Community Public Library for Amber Oldenburg’s presentation, “Midwest Archives: Worthy of More than Just a Flyover,” on September 13 at 2:30 p.m.
The Midwest is comprised of 11 states containing a vast array of collections. Between federal, state, local, and university archives, the number of places to find records can be overwhelming to the family historian. This session will explore important Midwest archives while highlighting select records found within each repository.
Oldenburg is a genealogist, lecturer, and social media manager with a degree in Family History Research from Brigham Young University-Idaho. She currently serves as an online instructor for BYU Pathway. Her specialties are Midwest and Great Lakes states research.
