Stop the Presses is reggae, steady, ska from Brooklyn, NY.

Originally formed in 2010 by Ali Culotta and Danny Portilla, Stop the Presses blends traditional ska and reggae with new wave, pop, and punk influences. The band, which has a strong East Coast ska/reggae sound, is known for its 60s girl group influences and 4-part vocal harmonies.

2 Impact – Lorie Amick’s powerful exploration of injury, recovery, gratitude and resilience following a life changing collision.
3 Detour - LaDonna Vohar’s reflections on life’s unexpected turns and the creativity that can emerge along the way.
Experience three unique exhibitions, three distinct stories, and an evening celebrating the power of art. Together, these exhibitions explore the many paths of the human experience including life’s unexpected detours through paintings, sculpture, and fiber art. All three exhibits will be on display at Artists’ Own 518 Main Street Lafayette, IN

The Auxiliary Unit 11 will be hosting a craft show and bake sale on Saturday, October 10, 2026 from Noon to 4:00p.m.  The cost of securing a space to display your goods will be a six(6) foot table at $25.00 and/or eight(8) foot table at $30.00.  All proceeds collected will be donated to the Veterans Creative Arts Program. For information on securing a space, contact cindylyon1103@gmail.com

Practice the art of drawing from observation in this hands-on still life drawing class! Each class will feature a new arrangement of objects for students to observe and interpret through drawing. You’ll explore composition, proportion, light, value, and different drawing techniques while building confidence in your observational skills.

This class is open to adults, as well as students in Grades 10–12, and is
welcoming to artists of varying experience levels. The class will primarily use
vine charcoal, with pencils also available for those who prefer working in graphite. Students with previous still life drawing experience are welcome to bring their own preferred drawing materials.

What is Contra Dance?
Contra dance is a form of folk dancing made up of long lines of couples. A caller leads the dance, teaching the steps and calling out moves. It's great fun for all ages.
Unlike some other social dances, contra is a group activity. Over the course of each dance, you interact with everyone in your contra line. Your partner is like a teammate, moving with you up and down the line.

Lucas Harry is the perfect night out--great Irish pub tunes and plenty of songs spanning the 70's through today's hits. It's not uncommon to have the full room clapping and singing along with Lucas.
