Event Description

This summer WALLA and the Friends of the West Lafayette Library will present a series of 21st Century science fiction films. Screenings will be on Monday evenings (June 10,24; July 8,24th;August 12th) at 6:30 P.M. in the West Lafayette Public Library. The films have been selected by WALLA members from the library’s collection for their serious depiction of the impacts of scientific discovery on human beings, from their personal relationships to their physical and psychological survival in alien environments. Genres range from romance to animated comedy. Each film is preceded by an introduction and followed by a discussion led by the WALLA member who chose the film. Free popcorn and water is available. .
