This summer studio is designed for young artists who learn best through play, curiosity, and experimentation! Rather than following step-by-step projects, students are invited to explore art materials at their own pace, follow their ideas, and discover what happens when creativity is given time and space.
Students choose how they create whether that is working independently, collaborating with peers, or simply experimenting. Educators act as facilitators rather than instructors, supporting curiosity, problem-solving, and exploration.

New Orleans' Johanna Rose and the Dreamboats perform Saturday August 1st at People's Brewing! Join us out on the patio for a super fun night of NOLA Jazz, Blues, and Cabaret. Special guests, KP &the WLGs will be opening up!Doors 7pm / Music 8pmA Mom&Pop ProductionJohanna Rose is a New Orleans-based singer, songwriter, upright bassist, and street performer making music that lives somewhere between the stars and the gutter. Her sound - smoky, sultry, chaotic - walks the line between beauty and grit. With vocals that can cut or soothe and bass lines that feel like a heartbeat and a tightrope all at once, Rose builds songs that don’t ask permission. It’s jazz with a crooked grin; grounded in tradition but never content to stay there.

Join NICHES Land Trust for a guided Mindfulness Hike at Cranberry Marsh on Sunday, August 2, at 2:00 p.m. As we explore the beauty of this wetland habitat, we’ll reflect on the powerful role wetlands play in naturally cleansing and protecting our environment.
Dr. Jessica Outcalt, Natural Resources Training Specialist at Purdue University, will join the hike to help identify birds and talk about their relationship to wetlands.
Through quiet observation and mindful walking, participants will connect with nature while learning how these unique ecosystems filter water, support wildlife, and sustain healthy landscapes.
Advanced registration is preferred. Click the link to sign up.

The Claudettes return to People's Brewing Company in Lafayette, IN Tuesday August 4th, 2026!Doors 6pm / Music 7pm / $15.59 ADV (All fees and taxes included) / 21+A Mom&Pop Production
Six albums into their lauded career, the Claudettes continue to put a fascinating spin on American roots music. Blues and R&B are laced with punk spirit and film-noir moods to create the band's singular "garage cabaret" sound. The Claudettes have earned worldwide acclaim with their recordings and concerts full of heart, musicianship and theatrical flair. Force-of-nature vocalist Rachel Williams (who dominates the stage like a glam-rock rebirth of Annie Lennox) and renowned pianist/songwriter Johnny Iguana join the mighty rhythm section of Zach Verdoorn (bass, guitar, vocals) and Michael Caskey (drums). Outside the Claudettes, Iguana has toured with Junior Wells and Otis Rush, played on many Grammy-nominated albums and recorded with Buddy Guy, Derek Trucks, Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Johnny Winter and more. Johnny is also composer of the score for the Emmy-winning smash FX/Hulu series "The Bear" and has released two solo albums on iconic blues/jazz label Delmark Records.
