Detroit's Libby DeCamp debuts at People's Brewing Company on Tuesday March 3rd! Deep-diving, time-tracing, cinematic folk blues ramblings from this super talented singer-songwriter! Local Noelle Voglewede opens up the show!Doors 5pm / Music pm / $15.59 in advance all fees included
Libby DeCamp is a singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist based in Detroit, MI. Her songs evoke the spirit of roots music from bygone eras, drawing inspiration from prewar blues, old-time string bands, early R&B, and country western. With one foot in the past and an eye on the future, Libby is a writer who tugs at the ageless thread of truth-telling and communal spirit through song, and tramps into continuous new territories- even at times bordering the mystical and psychedelic. Her lyrical edge and sweet, bluesy, un-prettied voice come from the gut and create something delightfully rare- whether solo with guitar in hand, or in the full picture of her band’s unique string and groove-centered alchemy.
